Rd 3 Eagles victory v's Endeavour Hills
EAGLES CONVINCING WINNERS!
Seniors
In a similar fashion to last week, the senior side had a dominant first quarter but didn't take full advantage on the scoreboard kicking 3.7 to 1 point. The second quarter saw the lead extend before Endeavour hills took advantage of a 3rd quarter Eagles lapse, at one point bringing the gap back inside 5 goals before a final quarter surge ensured a strong 63 point win to the Eagles side.
Best players were Cory, Trav, Camel, Knighter, Jarrod and Robbo who took a hanger that will take some beating for mark of the year.
Reserves
The Eagles Reserves played in a tightly fought contest all day. Both teams were hard at the contest but the Falcons players were a bit wiser around the ground and kicked straighter in front of goal.
br> A few undisciplined acts from the Eagles players throughout the match made things difficult and in the end were costly going down by 7 points. Best Players Muttau, Brayds and Tommy Clappers.
Under 19's
The young Eagles colts played against a top side in Endeavour Hills in the early game of the day with the Falcons kicking thirteen goals to nil in the first half.
A much better effort in the third term kept the Endeavour Hills side to just 2 goals whilst Baines kicked the Eagles only goal for the game. The last term was similar to the first half with the Falcons running out easy winners by 131 points. Although the boys suffered a large defeat there were some good signs with Taniwal and Baines among the best players on the ground.
