Midseason Review 2009
| It's the half way mark of the 2009 season that for some started in October 2008. It's good to see that all three teams are currently cemented in the top four and each of them trying to get into the top two for a double chance come finals time.
ON FIELD
The coaching group have done a great job to recruit many new players this year and with numbers up it means competition for spots.
The first 9 games of the year have seen a mixed bag with some great results in all three divisions and some disappointing ones as well. But that's the nature of this game. Each week is a challenge no matter who you're up against and a big effort by everyone in the second half of the season will be required if we are to be a serious threat for any premierships.
All three teams this season have performed admirably most weeks on match days but players have on occasion let themselves down by not consistently training. So get to training, support each other and the coaching staff and let's review the club again post season and hopefully we are celebrating premierships.
As it stands after Round 9, the Seniors and Reserves are on 7 wins and 2 losses, both third on the ladder. The Thirds are 4 wins and 4 losses with one bye round played to also sit in third spot on the ladder.
OFF FIELD
The club functions have been well supported and a lot of fun. Look out for all the upcoming functions including the annual Trivia Night. The committee have worked tirelessly all year and their efforts should be applauded. Without them there would be no club! The club cannot exist without volunteers and sponsors. Thankyou to each and everyone of the people who spend time at the club supporting and helping out and a big thankyou also to all of our sponsors.
